Global Perspective.
British by birth. Canadian educated. U.S. trained. Korean by marriage :-)
I have a diverse background and extensive experience working across Canada, throughout the U.S., in the U.K. and in Europe. I recognize that work styles and approaches are informed by culture and experience and I adjust my service delivery to best fit each client’s preferred way of working and doing business.
I have an undergraduate degree in Commerce (B.A.), a Masters degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) and a law degree (J.D.). Having previously worked as a corporate, securities and M&A lawyer, I am called to the bar in Ontario and New York State. I speak “lawyer” as well as “business person”.
I am also a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®). So I speak “securities professional”, “investment professional” and “investor” too.
Accordingly, I bring multiple perspectives to bear on each engagement. My background in corporate/commercial law and transactions, combined with my experience in M&A and joint ventures, means that I have encountered the key issues in a multitude of business situations and have experience finding effective ways to solve them.
